Social Media Specialist – 6 Month Contract (Remote in Canada)
10-15 hours per week @ $25/hour
The Role:
Are you a passionate and creative Social Media Specialist? Do you love building and inspiring communities across multiple social platforms? If so, we have a sweet role for you!
You will be responsible for managing and implementing our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage with our community, and drive website traffic. This role reports directly to our founder.

What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to align with company goals and objectives.
- Manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms, including posting content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & Linkedin), responding to comments and messages, and monitoring online conversations.
- Generate creative ideas for content creation to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Cultivate and nurture partnerships with community organizations, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
- Analyze data to derive actionable insights and optimize social media strategies accordingly.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Linkedin).
- Proficiency in video creation and editing tools/software.
- Knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes and passion for building awareness and inspiring the T1D community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative content ideas.
